After living in the Hague for a year the beach has not felt stale. I visit the beach at least once a month, whenever the weather is fair enough or just when I feel like it. The fourth of January was just such a day, after days of rainfall and general cold hardship the opportunity was there to take.

As we are used to in the Netherlands, a clear day in February means icy cold winds. I however was determined not to let me those pesky winds to discourage me. I wound up glad I did not, the walk was lovely, the wind attracted surfers, fishermen and all kinds of active people around the coast line.
